i'll be away from posting for a few days to celebrate the holidays.  i am leaving you with some inspiration to carry you through the wintry week.  happy holidays!!!

some sources i have forgotten over time.  most are from lefashion, google

look of the day

i promise i will not dedicate every other post to mka-- but this outfit.... love it.

fashion campaign-- year end review

one of my favorite blogs, fashion gone rogue, did a year-end review of the best fashion campaigns.  i definitely think that there was an overall winner in the best campaign of the year-- and although i am bias toward this artist-- ryan mcginley's take on missoni's fall 2009 collection was both fashion statement and art collection.  i love the clarity and space his portraiture embodies-- and the simple landscaping mixed with the many layers of missoni.... beautiful.

all i want for christmas is colette [wish-list: part 2]

when i'm clicking through the many [many!] fashion blogs that i read each week- okay, day- and stop to survey a very chic [often parisian] civilian, nine times out of ten they shopped their look at colette.  this french outpost carries all of the best of the truly best designers that still-- despite their fame-- are able to remain underground in reputation.  they also have a killer beauty section in addition to music, culture, design and-- my favorite, duh- food.  below i've taken the guess work out of choosing the giftiest items this site has to offer for you and made my dreamiest, fantasy-est christmas wish-list ever.

vellum design created me and my arrow's official logo.  it's perfect.

style icon: 2009

it should come as no surprise to you, readers, that i am choosing ashley olsen as my style icon of 2009.  a while back, one of my favorite blogs posted a series of ashley photos- and i was going to pick just one or two to add to this post, but they were all so great that i had to pick them all.  ashley exhibits individual style that is sophisticated yet youthful.  she is preppy-tough while always looking effortless in a mix of pattern, color, and detail.  so chic.  ashley, you're my fashion hero.

70's white, lovely and lace

for spring, i am looking for a lot of white lovely and lacey tops and skirts.  please let me know if you find any!

burberry prorsum pre fall 2010

i don't often report on beauty topics-- while i am a product junkie, i am first and foremost a fashion addict.  however, a soft braid seems quickly to becoming the hottest fashion accessory to compliment any outfit.  the softer, the messier- the sweeter.  give it a try-- and if you are like me, bring a friend to help hold the sides.
